Introduction

Amino remotes allow control of AminoOS STBs (Set-Top-Box) and, in most cases, additional devices such as TVs, and they are available either as Infrared-only (IR), or Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) + Infrared, allowing you to control devices without direct line-of-sight.

-
Your Amino STB is properly installed, powered on, and connected to your television.
-
Your TV is functioning correctly and is powered on.

In order to "teach" the Nova remote, you will need to align it with the "teacher" remote, e.g. TV/DVD. The remotes should face each other by the IR blaster (usually at the top of the remote) and should be no more than 5 centimeters apart during the learning procedure.
The learning operation is initialized as follows:
- Press the SETUP key until MODE key blinks 2 times.
- Press the following key sequence to enter learning mode: 9, 7, 5 (LED will blink if successful).
- Press the MODE key you want to set up, i.e. TV/DVD/AUX.
- Press the key to be learned on the NOVA remote. LED will flash rapidly.
- Hold teaching remote close to IR LED and press key to be taught.
- LED goes out. Continue to press teaching key until double blink from the visible LED.
