Introduction

This article goes through the different ways you have to perform a Factory Reset using SSH, Engage, or the hardware menu.

Prerequisites

This article assumes that you have an Enable STB or Access to AminoSM Engage.

Summary

SSH

You can factory reset the STB via SSH. For that, you should run the command factory_reset.sh to perform a Full Factory reset and type YES to confirm.

AminoSM Engage

In Engage you can perform a Factory Reset via DEVICE MANAGEMENT.

1- Please go to Device List -> Critical Operations 

2- Then click Factory Reset this device.

3- Confirm the Factory Reset:

Hardware menu

1- Press, “INPUT + MENU” to get to the Hardware menu page, scroll down to  Advanced Settings, and then press GO.

2-Select Advanced Settings submit the password 368663

3- Select Configuration from the MAIN PAGE

4.1 Select Full Factory Reset to clean all the storage and firmware that you have on the STB

4.2 Select Full Factory Reset (Keep App) to clean all the storage that you have on the STB but keep the firmware installed.

Reset Button

You can factory reset the STB by pressing and hold the reset button for one second, the box will do a factory reset.
