Introduction
This article describes how the Amino H200 devices can be used to control enterprise-grade display screens through a serial connection, using the EELM API. Currently, only LG is supported.
Prerequisites
Amino H200 running 25.6.2520.8R or higher
EELM API 3.5.0 or higher
Screen connected via Serial (RS-232) to the H200
Summary
This feature allows applications to control the connected screen using the EELM API over an RS-232 serial connection, supporting functions such as power on/off, volume control (mute, increase, decrease, set level), input selection (Tuner, AV, Component, HDMI, DVI), channel navigation (up/down), brightness adjustment (set level), and key commands for supported brands, like LG.
Detailed Overview
On startup, the H200 will auto-detect the TV brand if serial is enabled, and then the following actions can be sent via the EELM API:
Power: Turn the screen on or off
Volume: Mute, raise, lower, or set the volume (0-100%)
Input: Change input source (Tuner, AV, Component, HDMI, DVI)
Channel: Go to the next or previous channel
Brightness: Adjust the brightness level (0-100%)
Key Commands: Send remote control codes to supported screen brands
All the Screen Control commands available can be found on the latest EELM API documentation.
